Nation Chief's Mad Moon Smoke Signals

Mad Moon Campout
11/19/2011

AHO Mighy Canaveral Nation!!!!

Canaveral Nation held another successful campout. We had a great turn out with some awesome weather.  Again there were quite a few new members present at the Ceremony Saturday night. In my opinion this was very special as these new members were honored to be present while one of our Chippewa Little Braves Running Cheetah earned his much coveted Third Order of the Eagle Feather. I took it as a great honor to be able to present Running Cheetah and his Father Big Cheetah (Adam and David Metcalf) the Tomahawk Award. Running Cheetah is now a Thunderbird, which makes him an honorary member of the Canaveral Council. Again congratulations to the Metcalf family!

Osagee, Navajo and Miami hosted some great War Games while Creek navigated another successful long run. Much good food was consumed by Nation Chief and Little Chief both Friday night and Saturday night, as it was not a good weekend for many winged animals.

At the end of the campout the following tribes were awarded the following Nation Coup:

Golden Skillet Award

Navajo

Golden Wing Basket

 Chippewa

Nation Spear Coup

 Miami

Most Improved

Osage

Tomahawk

Osage

Mini Peace Pipe

Navajo

Mini War Coup

Nation Peace Pipe

I hope to see you all at the Merritt Island Christmas Parade, Saturday December 3rd. We will meet at Merritt Island High School at 0800, to allow us time to decorate the trailer. Chiefs, please have all your Big and Little Braves wear their tribe t-shirts and headbands. Please bring a bag or two of candy so the Little Braves can hand it out during the parade, and bring some Christmas decorations to decorate the trailer with. I will forward more information on the parade as I obtain it.

The Creek tribe will participate in the Cocoa Beach Christmas Parade the following Saturday December 10th, so please come out to support them.

The next camp out will be the Snow Moon Camp out, which will be held at Wickham Park in Melbourne on January 13th – 15th, 2012. See you all then. In the meantime, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving Holiday and remember all that we have to be thankful for.

AHO!

Grey Wolf, Nation Chief
