It is the intent to keep a journal on this page sectioned by campouts in reverse order.  Each section should list the campout name, dates, and location.  Additionally, a few lines summarizing the activities, crafts, little braves accomplishments, and coup won by the tribe should be recorded for each campout.  If there are pictures for the campout, a separate page will be linked on the campout name field.  If you have pictures or text you would like to have added, contact the tribe's webspinner.

9/26/08 Hunting Moon None N/A This was a combination of first campout and Recruitment since the recruitment was postponed.  Missed not having some of the regulars, but a fair turn out for first time.  Pickle sniffer was in the middle east,  It was quiet....  Too quiet!  His friends brought his two little braves as well as their own; we are trying to wrangle them into the tribe.  Had a good time -- great weather by day and some rain on Saturday night.  Helped with treating the tepee poles and cooking for the recruitment burger fest.  Took a hike with the kids on Sunday morning.  Hope to have the full compliment of braves next campout.
1/18/07 Snow Moon (Wickham Park) No Craft...  Fer shame, Fer shame, Fer Shame... NO COUP!  So excited by our last outing where we took the Nation's War Coup along with 2 other trophies, we decided to take a big header! Zero, Zed, Nil, Nada, Nothing, Less than nothing, goose egg, zip, zilch, bumpkiss!  Weather was not the best, and the multi-nation thing did not gel -- the Calusa nation canceled and we were missing some of our tribe as well.  However, we still had a great time.  Two of the war games were fun -- a pancake toss & and a corn toss; I think we did well at both of these.  The other war game was a brain teaser.  The boys did well considering that we dads must have left our brains back at the camp.  It was an all or nothing game (see left for definition of our score).  There was an extended round of dodge ball. As usual, we ate like both kings and pigs.  Pizza on the grill Friday night; eggs and bacon Saturday morning, Low Country Boil Saturday night, and Egg in the holes with Sausage on Sunday.  Both evening meals would be good candidates for a Midnight Buffet.  Tiger Paw and Tiger Tooth were there and fun was had by all.  AHO Cherokee!!

Holiday Parade The parade went real well and I think the kids had a great time.  Since the theme was pioneer days, the trailer was outfitted as a camp area.  There were two hogs hung from sticks being carried behind the trailer along with a couple stingers of fish being carried as well.  The hogs seemed to be a crowd favorite.  I have some pictures linked to the left, but send more if you have 'em. -- AHO Cherokee!!
11/16/07 Mad Moon Tomahawks & Rockets Nation's War Coup, Had excellent turn out, fantastic  weather, and did really well on the coup front.  We won the nation's war coup for the first time in anyone's memory.  Launched rockets with the kids.  Had Tacos Friday night, Pancakes early Saturday, & Sandwiches for lunch. Did a war game  that was a mix between curling & bowling.  Set-up 4 two liter bottles loaded with water in a diamond pattern at the end of a visqueen lane wet down with water and dish soap.  Players slide a 1/2 full one gallon water jug down the lane.  Went over well.   "Paint-or-die" brought a smoker, wood, and a big pork shoulder.  Our Green corn celebration dinner (Indian Thanksgiving) was smoked pork, turkey, stucco mashed potatoes, cowboy beans, and corn -- outrageous.   We cooked 24lbs of meat and in the morning there was about 4oz left that evidently was not spotted by someone before we passed out.  Had a traditional breakfast of fried turkey & tater tots Sunday morning -- had one turkey left over.  We actually sat down for the meals all at the same time.  Not once were we in a rush to get anything done -- the schedule board pays off and we need to maintain it. -- AHO Cherokee!!
10/26/07 Falling Leaf Moon Carved Pumpkins Kids had a great time carving pumpkins Friday night and they made a great looking craft on Saturday.  Cooked Cajun spiced pumpkin seeds?  Pretty sure there will be a pumpkin patch at the campsite in the spring -- seeds were every where.  Not bad weather, but the wind was strong.  Howling Coyote's ginger bread house blew down sometime before dawn.  By the time he returned from the land of Oz, "Swims with Shark" had condemned the shanty and started the paperwork.  Fema has since come through with a replacement dwelling.  We did a canoe race as a war game that everyone seemed to like.  We gave the nation our new war coup for the best war game and won it same day for the canoe race. Aho Cherokee!!

Hunting Moon Rain Sticks Rain sticks brought lots of trouble.  Had some wicked rain, still had fun though.  Details are already starting to fade.  Need someone to refresh my memory. -- Aho Cherokee!!
