Saturday Chiefs Meeting


1. Feather Awards:
Ask chiefs for any young braves whom may have earned 1st, 2nd or 3rd eagle feather. The Chief will conduct tests later and these young braves should be considered for lighting the Aims poles.

2. Special Award Orange Ribbons:
These ribbons are for little braves to be honored for outstanding achievements and/or performance in events which exemplify the Indian Guides Program. Fill out and get to the Tallykeeper at Chiefs meeting or at opening ceremony. The Chief will award them to the young braves.

3. Display Judging Sheets:
Tribal Chiefs use these to judge all tribes for displays. DO NOT judge your own tribe. Turn in to Medicine Man at completion of judging. Medicine man will deliver to Tallykeeper.

4. Envelopes for Attendance Fees: Return these to Wampum Bearer (Creek) by 5 PM.

5. Aims Poles: Determine young braves to say and light the Aims Poles

KEEWAY NADINE, KEEPER OF THE NORTH WIND: Please provide this assembly of fathers and sons with steadfast guidance. Always illuminate their paths with light from brother North Star.

2. COUP KEEPER

SHAWNEE NADINE, KEEPER OF THE SOUTH WIND: May your warming winds warm the hearts of our fathers and sons. Please provide gentle rains to grow the crops and make the buffalo aplenty.

3. TALLYKEEPER

WABANI NADINE, KEEPER OF THE EAST WIND: Ruler of storms and keeper of the great morning sun. Bring light to our council; give us new ideas and foster new friendships. Please let your gentle breeze bring comfort and peace to our activities.

4. WAMPUM BEARER

KETCHI NADINE, KEEPER OF THE WEST WIND: May your winds cross our mighty lands always bringing change to mother earth, the smoke signals from far off lands tell of peace in the world. Please take smoke from our campfires and tell others of the great pride the CANAVERAL NATION fathers have for their sons.

1. Little Brave Participation: The Little Braves are to present their tribal display to the Chiefs without any assistence from Big Braves. All Little Braves should participate in the presentation.

4. Safety: Tribes must have all of the following and must be mentioned during the presentation. They must have all four or no points !!
